Zella Day – 1965 (IYES remix)

Zella Day is a rising LA-based artist who is apparently ready to breakout in 2014 pretty much like Lana del Rey did in the second half of 2012. She dropped the lovely, breezy single Sweet Ophelia back in April: a glitchy contemporary classic that may have reminded you of the fantastic Naomi Pilgrim as well.

The b-side to that single, 1965, literally brings Arizona closer to the West Coast. It’s gorgeous and it also got a rework from Brighton’s IYES, who gave a shiny-but-wispy synth-pop outfit to the song. Listen below.
