Yellerkin – Tools

Adrian Galvin and Luca Buccellati are Yellerkin, a rising synth-pop duo from Brooklyn. They grew up together in the woods of Katonah and reunited after college to create this experimental project that stands somewhere between Passion Pit, Wu Lyf and Bon Iver. After the release of their self-titled debut EP in February, now Yellerkin are back with a new single called Tools.

Driven by a knocker drum machine, Tools is an anthemic song, that  wants to convey a very clear message, as stated by the band at Stereogum: “Tools is a kind of anthemic generational song, but one that toes the line between triumph and tragedy. This song is about our limitations; how fucked up it is that we are the generation that bought into all the crap our parents protested against in the 70′s!“.
