Wilderado – Morning Light

Formerly known as Bird Dog, LA-based alt-rock band Wilderado have announced the release of their sophomore EP, Latigo, from which is taken Morning Light, a song that’s rooted in American alt-rock style with a hint of psych-pop nuances. It reminds me a bit of the later Ryan Adams, which is definitely a very good thing imho.

The new EP will be released on July 22nd via National Anthem and it was produced by James McAlister (Sufjan Stevens), mixed by The Shins’ Yuuki Matthews and recorded in the band’s own studio. Speaking on that, frontman Maxim Helmerich explains: “A lot has happened since we wrote and recorded these songs in Latigo. Still, the songs carry the sound of that canyon, the memories from that house and the people we will always love. This EP is an ode to all of that.
