Verily So – To Behold

Here in Italy there’s an expression (“Paese che vai, usanza che trovi”) that means something like “every country has its own habits and traditions”. With Pesaro known as a strong shoegaze base (Be Forest, Brothers In Law, Soviet Soviet) and Emilia for groups connected with communism, we may certainly juxtapose Tuscany to wave. If Diaframma and Litfiba are history, Verily So are the welcomed newcomers. They will release their second LP, Islands, in June via V4V RecordsWaves For The Masses. The concept behind Islands, they say, regards “the lack of communication”, which is weird if you think that Simone (one of the band’s founding members) is a prolific music journalist.
