Tor Miller – Midnight

It’s been a while since music stardom turned back in the hands of big male voices, such as the ones belonging to Sam Smith, Hozier or, at a lower level, our beloved Josef Salvat. Someone who’s as good as the abovementioned kiddos is 19-year-old Brooklyn-based Tor Miller. We talked about him at the time of his stunning single Go, and we can’t help but doing it again now with Midnight, a heart-moving piano ballad about New York City. Miller’s terrific vocals paints beautiful pictures of the Big Apple – “Jeff Buckley’s Grace was playing loud as hell in the back of an old dive bar” – and everything seems just perfect. We definitely won’t be astounded if this guy will have a bright future ahead, he deserves every piece of it.

Midnight is part of Tor Miller’s debut EP Highlights, out since February 2nd on Glassnote (CHVRCHES, Daughter, Mumford & Sons, etc.).
