Swimming Tapes – Queen’s Parade

London indie-pop five-piece Swimming Tapes have recently unveiled their first material of 2017, a song called Queen’s Parade which anticipates the release of their upcoming sophomore EP. The track was produced by Adam Jaffrey (Palace, Gengahr, Leif Erikson) and it’s a mesmerizing guitar-driven tune soaked in nostalgia, thanks to a perfect mix of jangly guitar licks, hazy vibes and soothing vocals. If you’re acts such as Day Wave and Hazel English, you’re totally gonna love this.

Speaking about the track, Swimming Tapes said: “‘Queen’s Parade’ is a pleading note about the state of a beloved seafront street in our home town of Bangor, Northern Ireland. Three of us grew up here and there was a sense you were watching something that seemed very beautiful slowly fade into nothing. “Fond memories tainted by complete neglect whilst always hoping it will return to its former glory when it was full of life, or so it seemed when we were in our youth.
