Strong Asian Mothers – Sober

Following up their highly praised debut EP Lynx Africa, London alt-pop trio Strong Asian Mothers are back today with a new single called Sober. But don’t be deceived by the title, nothing is even close to be “sober” in a track that blends electro-pop and R&B elements and which rhythm section lies on a cascade of throbbing bass interwoven with an extremely bold synth work.

About the track, Strong Asian Mothers said: “‘Sober’ was inspired by waking up one morning after a heavy night and hearing in the next bedroom a girl shout at a boy ‘I CAN’T STAND YOU WHEN IM F**KING SOBER’. It’s about debauched drunken nights and flings in which one person wants more than the other does.
