SLØTFACE – Take Me Dancing

The Norwegian band SLØTFACE (formally known as Slutface) have shared their first new single after their debut EP Sponge State, a song that was originally written as a response to the male voice in Big Star’s “Thirteen”. “I was trying to write the girl’s answer to “won’t you let me walk you home from school?” because I love that song, but think it portrays a very chaste and old school version of femininity. All we are trying to say is that it’s OK to let loose and have fun from time to time.” – says the singer Haley Shea.

Take Me Dancing is an energic punk-pop song that really makes me think about Fight Like Apes, so it’s one of those tracks that HAS to be in your summer playlist! Listen below.
