Siv Jakobsen – How We Used To Love

Folk-pop is more and more a girl affair. After Marika Hackman and Alice Boman, there’s someone else who’s claiming her spot in that little stardome. Her name is Siv Jakobsen, she’s born and raised in Norway and she has just released her new single How We Used To Love. The song was inspired by a strange fact – “when Siv, stuck in San Francisco traffic, drove into the car in front of her in an absent minded moment” – and, of course, it’s an ethereal piano ballad that make us think the late night hours in Scandinavia, with whispering vocals and heartbreaking strings doing the rest. Highly recommended.
