Saux – For I Know

For his first offering of the year, Dutch producer Saux was “inspired by extended Prince edits, Stevie Wonder’s Go Home 12” version, and a Womack and Womack remix by Frankie Knuckles.

It goes without saying that retro swelling synths, blurred guitars and ’80s-tinged disco percussions dominate the production, with the Amsterdam-based artist who’s not afraid to take on the lead singing, delivering a soulful vocal performance that serves as icing on an already-delicious cake. Speaking on the song itself, Saux said “‘For I Know’ is an 80’s R&B / disco inspired track about finding your place in a relationship, and trying to prove yourself.
