Ryan Egan – Finest Hour

Ryan Egan has unveiled the follow up to his acclaimed EP Postures, a new single titled Finest Hour which sees Egan take the full control of the production, while in the previous extended play he shared this duty with Luca Buccellati (Tei Shi, Yellerkin). The song is very reminiscent of ’80s electronic pop, lying on deep thumping bass and unrolling around Ryan’s multifaceted vocals. Speaking on the track, Egan stated: “This particular release is special for me because it is the first time I’ve put something out that I wrote, arranged, and produced fully. Coming up playing in bands and other collaborative projects, including my first solo release, it is an important step for me because this is what I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve always been most intrigued by the self-sustainable artists like Prince or Kevin Parker or anyone that can efficiently take on the various different roles within music. I also want to thank Jake Aron (Chairlift, Jamie Lidell) for lending his mixing skills on this one.
