Premiere: KYOSi – Early Riser

In the last few years, KYOSi‘s life has entirely revolved around the State of New York. After studying voice at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, she managed a non-profit music studio in Ithaca for the inner city youth, while she was producing music and doing backup vocals for a local band. KYOSi moved to NYC in 2011 in order to expand her music horizons and improve as solo artist.

Following up a couple of EPs dropped as More Dani, Early Riser represents a fresh start for the New York-based artist, a compelling introduction to KYOSi’s pop offering made of smooth vocals, Caribbean percussions, hints of sleek electronics and echoes of contemporary R&B. Recorded and co-produced by Kyosi and Richie Beretta (production partner of Major Lazer’s Jillionaire), Early Riser is exactly that kind of song that you never get tired of listening to. Enjoy below.
