Premiere: Ben Hobbs – Shame
Having been early supporters of his music, we’re extremely happy to premiere today Ben Hobbs‘ new single Shame. With the follow-up to his last year’s EP Sweet Enough, the South London multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter proves to be in a great artistic shape, delivering a highly compelling pop tune in which his heartfelt voice is one with the dreamy synths and shimmering guitar hooks. Moreover, the obsessive chorus will get stuck in your heads for days and you’ll probably find yourselves singing along with Ben “I’m not quite myself/ not quite someone else / where’s the shame in that? / there’s no shame in that.”
Speaking on the track, Ben said: “It’s about the realisation of it being OK to show emotions, and get past the barrier of what society perceives to be acceptable.”
Shame will be officially released via all the usual suspects (Spotify, Apple Music, Google, etc..) on February 24th. Ben Hobbs is currently on tour as opening artist on Alex Clare’s Tail Of Lions tour. He will also play a headline show at The Courtyard Theatre in London on Friday 3rd March to celebrate the release of Shame.
