Only Girl – Young Blood

South-East Londoner Ellen Murphy, a.k.a. Only Girl, is back and has decided to do it by breaking our hearts into a million pieces. Her new single Young Blood is wrapped in melancholy and made even more poignant by the incredibly emotionals, and technically superfine, vocals of the London songstress. “So the last time you spoke to me, you said to me ‘my darling, Oh I don’t have to leave‘” she sings, painting touching melodies that recall glorious ballads of the 90s fused together with a polished modern production.

Speaking about the track Only Girl has stated: “Young Blood is about the ever-changing nature of love throughout a long-term relationship, and the realisation that the love you have with someone after many years together is going to be very different to the love you had when you first met”.

The track is taken from the upcoming ‘Young Blood EP’, which will be  released on March 11th via Akira Records.
