NAO – Bad Blood

After two EPs that have received unanimous praise, a collaboration with Disclosure and two songs named as ‘best new track‘ by his majesty Pitchfork, all the spotlights are on NAO as a possibile name destined to become one of the brightest stars of the new-pop firmament. Right from the pop world, more precisely from the 90s, the London-based singer draws liberally in her latest single Bad Blood, cleverly mixing jubilant dance-pop with seductive R&B textures a là Janet Jackson. The song reveals all its potential also looking to the future with a set of modern electro production tricks and irresistile short funky guitar accents.

Bad Blood is the first single to be taken from NAO’s debut LP, which will be released next year on her own label Little Tokyo. Stream the song here below and don’t miss her show next week at Pitchfork Music Festival Paris.
