Mined – Mistakes

Ghanaian-born/London-based artist Mined is one of the most pleasing discoveries we made by the end of 2016, when we fell under the spell of the soft electronic landscapes of his debut single Pangs. Mistakes stands as its natural follow-up and it goes even further thanks to melancholic synths and blurry vocals drowned into a glo-fi looping kaleidoscope of colors and quietness.

Speaking about the song, Mined explains: “Mistakes was written as an apology. The whole EP is about a relationship that has since broke down. It’s the first song I wrote on the EP. I had the lyrics done in about 5 minutes, it’s about selfishly doing/saying things in the heat of the moment and describes a genuine series of events that I think a lot of people will be able to empathise with”.

Mistakes is taken from Mined’s forthcoming EP Loves Low’s due out in Spring 2017 via Peacefrog Records.
