Matt Woods – Ain’t No Use

London songwriter Matt Woods is no longer a surprise. His first offering of the year, a mesmerizing track called Ain’t No Use, is as good as all his previous releases and, if you know the guy a little, you’d know that he’s in the game just for big things. Ain’t No Use highlights again Matt’s otherworldly falsetto, which shines around the few piano chords and the minimal production that have been built around it.

About the new single, Woods says: “There’s a difference between getting over someone, and choosing to move on from them. The track is about accepting that some people will always have a hold over you no matter how much you’d like them not to.

If you’re lucky enough to attend SXSW, Matt will play two shows:
16th March – We Found New Music @ Speakeasy Kabaret (9:40pm)
18th March – ASCAP @ The Driskill (9pm)
