Maiday – Wish You’d Met Me First

British singer-songwriter Maiday has paved the way for a significant 2015 with her impressive debut single Wish You’d Met Me First. You may have already heard the girl’s name from her feature on Jakwob’s ‘Fade’ late last year, but the time has come for the Worcestershire artist to arise by herself.

Produced by Jimmy Hogarth and ARRWS, Wish You’d Met Me First, as the title suggests, is about a love story that can’t be experienced, only because of the wrong time he and she met. Maiday’s vocal rendition of raw, poignant lyrics gives the perfect idea of an heartbreaking feel. Violins and strings over a minimal electronic buzz give the song a classy touch that recalls Banks.

Wish You’d Met Me First is taken from Maiday’s debut EP, which will be released in the Spring of 2015. Listen below.
