Lyves – Shelter

Lyves is the performing moniker for Francesca Bergami, a young singer/songwriter of Italian and Australian heritage, who grew up in Portugal and then moved to London for academic reasons. Shelter is her second offering so far and it combines Francesca’s love for soul legends like Bill Withers or Erykah Badu with a more modern electronic approach, result of the influence of artists such as Air and Boards of Canada. Built around a classic piano, Shelter grows as sonic elements are added to the song’s soundscape: heartfelt vocals, sparse beats and cinematic synth-lines to create a nearly perfect dark-pop tune.

Shelter is the first track to be taken from Lyves’ upcoming debut EP, which will be accompanied by her first ever headline show in London. Listen below.
