Luluc – Small Window

Given that the second single by Brooklyn-via-Melbourne folk duo Luluc is even better than the first one, we can assume that Aaron Dessner – who produced the LP – and Sub Pop were right: these guys are great. “Small Window was drawn from the sometimes enchanting space between dreaming and waking” says Zoe Randall and she perfectly conveys in these few words the extremely delicate mood of a song that’s built upon her brilliant mellow vocals.

The National’s Aaron Dessner contributes by playing piano and harmonium on it, giving the song an otherworldly aura that highlights Luluc’s talent in creating timeless folk elegies.

Small Window will be the opening track for Passerby which is out July 14th via Sub Pop.
