Junior Empire – West Coast

For a nostalgic like me there’s nothing better than a tune that brings you back in time. London debutantes Junior Empire decide to end up straight to the list of my favorite with their first single ever West Coast. Pressing play you’ll immediately realize why, ’cause that opening 90s drum beats are killeeeeer. But there’s more: production is perfectly on focus, vocals are both uplifting both poignant and the rate of catchiness is so damn high. This is a super pop song from a new act you definitely must put under your radar.

Speaking about West Coast, the band said “We wrote this one about our first time living in LA. Open roads and the underlying feeling that nothing is permanent and a vacuous future of endless opportunity awaits. In other words when you’ve just become single….”.
