Joy Again – Looking Out For You

If someone like Shamir Bailey (XL Recordings) and the guys over at Lucky Number (Hinds, Alex G, Gotye) decide to invest on you – respectively as your manager and your label – it means that something big is coming. That’s what happened to Philly-based young five-piece Joy Again and their debut track called Looking Out For You, which suddenly brought us back to the glorious years of indie-rock, thanks to fuzzy guitars and a general party-mood enlightened by the curious use of banjo which stands as the backbone of the whole song.

This is what Shamir stated about them in a press release: “(They’re) extremely aware of the world around them, dangerously smart and super mature without leaving behind that playfulness that a lot of people lose once they start to enter adult life”.

Looking Out For You will be released on January 15th 2016 via Lucky Number/Mermaid Avenue.
