Jesiah – Babylon

Sometimes it happens that an artist stuns you with an exciting debut single before leaving you with a ‘meh‘ at the end of the second one. Well, this is certainly not the case of Jesiah, newcomer from LA, who with his sophomore offering Babylon raises significantly the bar in comparison to the already good debut Walls. If his first cut was an energetic electro anthem, Babylon shuffles completely the cards, moving into new alt-pop territories where Jesiah’s vulnerable vocals float elegantly on placid piano chords, muted guitars and textures of minimalistic percussion.

‘Babylon’ is one of my favorite songs because it’s so close to my heart,” Jesiah says. ” To put it simply, ‘Babylon’ is a story about two souls defending their love in the face of adversity.
