Horse Thief – Little Dust

Given that I’m a big fan of Bella Union, when I first found out about their new signing Horse Thief, I immediately checked their debut single Devil with very high expectations. It was a nice folk-y tune, but it didn’t really blow me away as I’d have expected and I started waiting for some new stuff in order to give the band another shot.

And here it is. The OKC-based five-piece is back with Little Dust, an amazing Band Of Horses-sounding track that also makes me think about dilated folk-pop ballads of early Strand Of Oaks and Midlake’s releases. “Our music is about more than just the songs we play, it’s about losing yourself in the sound and creating an experience that sticks with you long after the show is over”, says frontman Cameron Neal. This song nailed it and we do hope they’ll also have a bright future ahead.

Horse Thief’s debut LP, Fear In Bliss, is out April 15th on Bella Union.
