Happy Sometimes – Video Tapes
Fresh off from her EP of the same name, Video Tapes is a brand new song by Happy Sometimes, a self-tought, 20-year-old artist who grew up in Laguna Beach, California. She has been writing tunes and creating beats in her bedroom since the age of 14 and this DIY attitude can be perceived in her sound. The haunting and glitchy production of Video Tapes is quite impressive, as well as the rawness and youthful vocals delivered by the now LA-based popstress. It reminds me of some of the finest contemporary electronic-pop acts, such as Priest or Sinah. Listen to the song below and then head over to Soundcloud for the full thing.
