Gundelach – Spiders

Hailing from Norwegian lands, cold boy Kai Gundelach seems ready to warm our hearts with his debut single Spiders. After being involved into Oslo’s renowned club scene since the age of 16, “first as an underage space disco enthusiast with a knack for getting past doormen and later as a DJ warming up for some of his teenage heroes”, he decided to lock himself in his bedroom and to start a new recording project.

Then he sent some demos to Joel Ford (Autre Ne Vuet, Oneohtrix Point Never) and the two began to exchange ideas, which have led to this soulful debut track that is completely driven by Gundelach’s falsetto vocals and interesting electronic beats. Chet Faker anyone? Maybe better.

Spiders is the first single to be taken from Gundelach’s debut EP, which was recorded in New York also with the help of Al Carlson (Ariel Pink, Tim Hecker). It will be out early 2016 via Cosmos (Say Lou Lou, Kid Astray, Naomi Pilgrim).
