Grandson – Bury Me Face Down

Toronto-via-New Jersey 23-year-old artist Grandson puts all his diversified background within music, as you can hear in his latest offering Bury Me Face Down, where sparse electronic elements meet a more classic rock soundscape and singing ranges from RnB to soul. It reminds me somehow of Bishop Briggs, for sure he’s an artist to watch closely in 2017

Speaking on the track, Grandson said: “Bury Me Face Down was written during a Quentin Tarantino marathon I had one day this summer. I found the resiliency of the protagonists in his stories similar to the strength needed to survive in the music industry. The mentality of “There’s nothing you can say or do to me to stop me from getting where I need to be. Even if they drag me down I’m going to claw my way back up.
