Fronteers – It’s Up To Me Now
Hull-based indie-rockers Fronteers may still be very young, but we cannot say that they don’t know the roots of their infectious guitar-rock. Their new single It’s Up To Me Now sounds like a dirty modern version of The Kinks which, from our point of view, is definitely a good thing.
Speaking on the track, vocalist Andy Towse says: “At the time I was writing it I’d just lost a decent job, so I had problems with money and I had people telling me that I didn’t have my head on straight and that being in a band doesn’t pay. So this song’s just about doing it anyway because you want to.”
Fronteers will be on tour across England next month, along with Pretty Vicious and Blossoms. Check the dates here.
