FRND – Be Happy

His identity is still shrouded in mystery while his music continues to get better; Los Angeles producer FRND is currently planning the release of his deput extended play, from which the new single Be Happy is lifted. It’s an emotionally-charged track built around sparse acoustic chords that mixes classic songwriting textures and soft trap-tinged production elements. Not something easy to manage and held together without resulting tacky, but FRND perfectly succeeded.

Speaking on the track, he stated: “Be Happy is about finally reaching the point of acceptance and seeing things objectively. You wake up one day and feel that you can let go of the hurt, anger, sadness, and whatever else is holding you back from moving on.

Be Happy
comes together with an official video, about which FRND said: “The video for ‘Be Happy’ centers around the emotional journey after a relationship. I wanted to make something that felt real and related to the stages you go through when realizing what is truly important in your life. Though the koala embodies the emotion and lyrics of the song, look out for the sloth.
