et aliae – Feel Me (feat. Cuushe)
Singaporean producer et aliae has teamed up with Kyoto-based artist cuushe… ok this already sounds ridiculously good, doesn’t it? The two artists, who are signed to Cascine, worked on this collaboration track, Feel Me, during the last spring, in order to support the Japanese release of et aliae’s debut EP, Rose. The song is built around a retro house beat, bejeweled by gentle piano chords over which softly float the warm vocals of Cuushe. Speaking on the track, et aliae said: “I’ve always wanted to make a song that is a gentle throwback to 90’s Chicago house – bright piano chords always lend a joyful energy to any song. Cuushe and I share many similar musical influences and experiences, working with her on ‘Feel Me’ was a dream.”
Cuushe added: “When I recorded vocals for this song, I was imagining et aliae in Singapore. When she and I were talking over the phone for this project, I could hear the sounds of Singapore, people were talking at the cafe and traffic sounds. I like that kind of moment.”
