Miguel’ is a part of us that we have left in Italy. It’s the son, grown up, of our past. We look after him, we look at him, but from the North. The song is about Miguel, the exponential image of our roots.

Göteborg-based trio Emmecosta have been featured on these pages several times and probably many of you already know about their Italian heritage. Aldo, Claudio and Alfonso have moved to Sweden seven years ago and, as far as we can easily consider Emmecosta as a 100% Scandinavian project, in their heads the bond with their country has never been broken. Miguel is a cinematic ode to Positano, their hometown; a song marked by an extremely icy production that actually perfectly highlights the melancholic intent behind its creation. Check it out below.
