Donna Missal – The Keeper

Hailing from New Jersey, last year Donna Missal electrified the blogosphere wiht her debut single Keep Lying, which introduced us to her gloomy, raw voice. Its follow-up, Sick, saw her play the R’n’B card in a wonderful and classy way. Now she’s back with The Keeper, a smooth downtempo with a hint of jazz, where the minimal production leaves no other choice than to dive completely and be carried away by Donna’s alluring vocals.

Donna wrote the song with some of her frequent collaborators in Diamond Mine Studio in Queens, NY, Speaking about the songwriting’s process, she stated “We get together and listen to hip hop and old soul records and make songs that reflect our influences while sort of riding our own wave.
