Djustin – Dancing
Last year, we introduced Djustin, the electronic project by Swedish legend Johan Angergård – Club 8, Eternal Death, The Legends – and Michigan singer Rose Suau. Their debut song Stars paved the way to the release of the critically praised EP TRYST.
Now the pair returned with a new track, Dancing, ahead of the release of Djustin’s debut LP VOYAGERS, out on May 5th via Labrador Records. Marked by relentless disco beats and bold synth-laden hooks, the song is a shimmering attempt to take over the dancefloor through a visionary approach, something halfway between Robyn and Glass Candy.
Speaking to Brooklyn Vegan, Rose said on the track: “With a little imagination, it’s pretty safe to assume that ‘Dancing’ isn’t really about dancing. It’s really a clarion call for lovers everywhere to feel empowered, assertive, and free within your own body and who you share your energy with. It’s about having magnetism with someone that’s a little cheeky, slightly irreverent, and totally DJUSTIN.”
