Cailin Russo – September Rose

Daughter of Scott, the frontman of punk band Unwritten Law, Cailin Russo just debuted as musician on her own after having already made her name known due to her work as actress and model. The LA-based 22-year old artist didn’t follow the father’s footsteps in her debut single September Rose though. The track is indeed a smooth tune that stands somewhere between soul and hip-hop, but it also highlights a strong jazzy aftertaste to bring to light her nuanced and emotional voice.

Speaking on the track, Cailin explained: “Roses don’t grow in September. ‘September Rose’ is about a young love relationship happening and isn’t working because it’s not the right time.
