Brandyn Burnette – Karma

Sometimes it happens that we follow an artist for months and we never post about him or her. Reasons can be different, but usually we simply lack the time to write about everything we like. It’s exactly the case of St. Louis’ producer and electro-soul singer Brandyn Burnette and his debut EP Made Of Dreams, which was released last year. Luckily for us, we now have the chance to make amends and introduce his art to our readers in the form of Karma, the latest excerpt from Burnette’s upcoming sophomore EP State I’m In, due out this June. Self-produced by BB himself, this song is a fresh, new way to dive into a trending genre as electronic soul is now, blending heartfelt vocals and digital beats with classical pop elements (as in this case, an inspired saxophone, courtesy of Emily Anne).

Brandyn said that “this record is about our actions & their ripple effect on our relationships, our community & the world. We all know the old saying ‘what goes around comes back around’. Keep your intentions good & do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
