Blessa – Between Times

Sheffield-based five-piece Blessa is firmly rooted in the mid-90s, echoing the storming indie-pop anthems of The Sundays. Their first single Between Times is definitely one of the greatest crush-pop songs we’ve heard in a while, with delicious harmonies and slightly psychedelic guitars through a pretty, subtle bass riff. Describing themselves as “panning outwards from tighter, more claustrophobic structures into a vastness that allows a vocal to pervade the wall of sound”, Blessa are one of the finest indie-pop newcomers around. You should keep an eye on ’em.
