Bellows – For Rock Dove

Apparently 2014 is the year of bedroom musicians. With the complicity of wonderful records as those of Alex G and Frankie Cosmos, this year these kind of projects are receiving the proper praises that they deserve. Albums that must be heard with heart in hand, soaked in the great humanity of their authors.  Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Oliver Kalb is made from the same mold and, earlier this year, he released his sophomore album as Bellows. It’s called Blue Breath and is a delicate, heartful record with a hint of sadness in it.

Recorded with the supporf of the art & musician collective The Epoch (Gabrielle Smith of Eskimeaux, Felix Walworth of Told Slant and Henry Crawford of Small Wonder), Bellows’ Blue Breath is out now digitally and will be released on vinyl through Dead Labour in August.
