Anna Straker – Desert Floor
Desert Floor was the missing piece of the puzzle that, when completed, would have formed Anna Straker‘s four-track debut EP Serious. Going Solo’s regular readers have already been introduced to the music of this young songwriter and producer from London. In fact, basically all her work so far has been featured on the blog. Desert Floor is probably the track where the percussive electronic side of Anna’s production prevails more over the pop and R&B elements, serving as a renewed statement of her several and multi-faceted artistic skills.
Speaking on the track, Anna Straker said: “Lyrically, ‘Desert Floor’ is my most powerful song. It taps into this metaphysical realm in my head where I can achieve anything. I don’t need the moon to make me glow! I want listeners to feel empowered. It’s my version of Voodoo Chile by Jimi Hendrix.”
