Amber Hall – Mean To Me

We first introduced NYC singer/songwriter Amber Hall in our Going Inbox column, with her debut single Private School. Today she returns with its follow-up, a brooding dark-pop song called Mean To Me, which was produced by Melbourne-based producers Haxx and co-produced by Rromarin. The cinematic electronic percussions and the elegant subtle keys meet the heartfelt, R&B-tinged vocals of the NYC resident artist, who discloses in this way her most personal stories.

Speaking on the track, Amber said: “This song was definitely one that I was very afraid to share. To me, ‘Mean To Me’ represents vulnerability, and what could be more vulnerable than sharing the things that scare you the most?“.
