A Safe Shelter – Long Gone

Making “regular” music is a very different affair than making electronic music. In the first case you have to deal with a few instruments, and also the worst quality rehearsal can get you to a pretty decent lo-fi composition. Going electro is, instead, a matter of equilibrium between much more variables and textures. And that’s what surprised me listening to Long Gone by Italian producer Simone Zagari, a track he released under the moniker of A Safe Shelter. He and his pal Gianmarco Manilardi put together field recordings, a drum machine and a couple of post-rock guitar lines in the right way. Good job.
