The Week In Videos (02/24 – 03/02)

Vaghe Stelle – Artificial Intelligence

WARNING: you’re about to check out our latest The Week in Videos feature. We inform you that, this time, your Weird Shit-O-Meter will probably explode. It starts with the self-directed Vaghe Stelle’s clip for Artificial Intelligence, which is taken from the incredible Sweet Sixteen LP, out now on Astro:Dynamics. It’s very reminiscent of the way Oneohtrix Point Never intends music videos: as a projections on the oddest of futures.

FUZZ – Raise

Director Matt Yoka’s statement about the video for (Ty Segall and) FUZZ’s Raise really says it all: “I felt it was my responsibility as a filmmaker to warn parents that FUZZ is going to turn their children into monsters”. He did it well.

Control Unit – Bloody Language

The new video from Silvia Kastel and Ninni Morgia is a concentrate of retro film making, car crashes, explosions and sex, that make their industrial revivalism even more enthralling. Bloody Language 7” single is out in April on Backwards.

Bernard + Edith – Poppy

Bernard + Edith are a Manchester dark-pop duo that appears to involve Nick Delap of Egyptian Hip Hop. They debut single, Poppy, came out this week, accompanied by a video that’s sort of the nightmarish, foreboding counterpart of the one for I Break Horses’ Denial. With epilepsy warning included.

Be Forest – Totem II

At this point, you might need this to calm you down.
