The Japanese House – Clean
Following up her wonderful debut EP Pools To Bathe In, Amber Bain (a.k.a. The Japanese House) has announced yesterday the upcoming release of a new extended play titled Clean. The title-track is the first cut from this upcoming work and it shows how the 19-year-old Londoner artist is actually expanding the sonic boundaries of her project, while maintaining its roots halfway between liquid electronica and lush alt-pop.
Recorded during the summer with George Daniel and Matthew Healy, Clean sounds bigger than anything previously released by The Japanese House, conveying a sense of grandeur although with a melancholic aftertaste. Stream below.
