Premiere: The Cave Children – Antigone

Don’t know if we’ve ever featured someone from Greece on Going Solo. Our first time comes today, with The Cave Children, a psych-pop four-piece from Athens which is influenced “by the evocative soundtracks of Danny Elfman, The Beatles of 1969, Frank Zappa’s sarcasm, the British 90s, Greek music and the new psychedelic rock scene”.

Antigone is the first single to be taken from their debut LP Quasiland and a lysergic ballad that shows an awesome mix between late 60’s psychedelic rock songs and modern dream-pop melodies. They strongly remind us of Tame Impala, which is good.

Listen below.

Quasiland will be digitally out on April 14th and on vinyl (including bonus cd) on May 25th via Inner Ear Records. Pre-order it here.
