L I M – C O M E T
L I M is the brand new solo project of Sofia Gallotti, one-half of Italian electronic-pop duo Iori’s Eyes. Her first offering, C O M E T, comes almost four years after the last record released with the band, a clear sign that L I M (which stands for “less is more”) is not just the impromptu whim of an artist, but a clear and distinct path towards the future. Co-produced by Italian producer RIVA and L I M herself, the new single, which is also the title track of an upcoming debut EP due out via La Tempesta International later this year, is a relentless electronic piece marked by an obsessive hand-clapping and saturated with thumping bass, in which vocals fit gently, almost whispering.
Speaking with Noisey Italy about the meaning of the EP’s title, Sofia said: “(I wanted to give the impression) Of a parable. A thing that passes, leaves its mark and it’s not said that it’ll come back. But at least it has passed.”
